Some Parents Opting Out of Kids' Immunizations

There has been an increase in Wyoming in the number of exemptions for required vaccines in children.

Some parents are opting out of these vaccines because of possible side effects that may occur.

There are two exemptions for kids relating to vaccinations.

There are medical exemptions and religious exemptions.

According to the nursing coordinator for the Natrona County School District, there has been a gradual increase of parents claiming religious exemptions.

This potentially increases the risk for other children to these possible diseases.
