Read Across America: Dr. Seuss' Birthday

The National Education Association started the annual "Read Across America" celebration in honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday. Local schools like Grant Elementary celebrated the event through assemblies and readings by students and alumni. The NEA believes that by reading the rhymes and books in general shows children that is it fun and important to read.
