Third Chain Removes

A third major grocery chain serving Wyoming says it will no longer sell ground beef containing "pink slime".
Kroger, which owns Smiths's, King Sooper's and City Market stores in the Cowboy State says the decision is based on the company listening to its customers.
Kroger says what the industry calls "lean finely textured beef" is safe and government approved. But, the company adds, the filler is something that its customers don't want in their ground beef.
K2 News first broke earlier this week, that both Safeway and Albertsons will not sell beef with "pink slime" either.
