Casper Hostage Follow UpSubmitted By: Liz Cooper, LCooper@K2TV.com
Casper Police now say the last man involved in yesterday's stand off at the west side Super 8 motel took his own life.
The other suspect involved, Jacob Dziewic made an initial appearance in court this afternoon.
After an eleven hour stand off, Jacob Dziewic is now facing four charges of restraining another against their own will and possession of a deadly weapon.
The stand off began around 6 a.m. yesterday.
Police responded to a call of suspicious activity.
Authorities say Jacob Dziewic along with 20 year old Joseph Geelan had four hostages in the motel.
However, one hostage describes the incident as not initially a hostage situation.
According to court documents, Geelan and Dziewic left the four friends in the motel room and came back with what is described as "a lot of drugs."
The hostage says the two started getting "strung out and were not really themselves."
The two suspects would not let anyone leave.
According to authorities and the Natrona County Corner, Geelan was pronounced dead in the motel from a self inflicted gun shot to the head.
Dziewic faces up to 25 years in prison.
His bond was set at $200,000.
A preliminary hearing will be held within the next 10 days.
