by K2 News Desk, firstname.lastname@example.org
A ground and air search continued Wednesday after a plane carrying four passengers did not make a scheduled landing in Casper yesterday afternoon.
The last known contact with the Texas-based plane was about 60 miles Southeast of Casper, in the Laramie mountains. Search efforts are being focused in that area.
The plane is a single engine Piper Saratoga model (shown below) registered to Texas resident Chuck Ford. Ford is reportedly among the 4 people missing.
According to Jeanne Stone-Hunter of the Civil Air Patrol, a search Tuesday night found nothing. Search efforts Wednesday morning and afternoon were also unsuccessful. The Albany County Sheriff's Office has two crews on the ground searching as well. As of Wednesday evening, those crews also found nothing.
