Sentences for Sheridan Teens to be Reconsidered
by K2 News Desk, firstname.lastname@example.org
The Wyoming Supreme Court will hear arguments on reducing life sentences for two Sheridan teenagers convicted of a home invasion murder three years ago.
The high court is reconsidering the sentences for Wyatt Bear Cloud and Dharminder Ver Sen, because of a US Supreme Court ruling earlier this year ruled that mandatory life sentences could not be imposed on juveniles. The ruling does not rule out the possibility of a life sentence, as long as other sentencing options are also looked at.
Bear Cloud's sentence was vacated by the US Supreme Court last month and sent back to the State Supreme Court for reconsideration.
