by K2 News Desk, firstname.lastname@example.org
The superintendent of the Natrona County School District announced his retirement Monday night.
Superintendet Dr. Joel Dvorak's retirement will be effective on June 30th, 2013.
Dr. Dvorak began his tenure at NCSD in March of 2003 as Associate Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction, and served as superintendent since July 1st, 2008. During Dvorak's tenure, the district adopted and made significant progress on its strategic plan, undertook the task of transforming the high school system, and developed multiple long-lasting partnerships with other institutions and the community.
Dr. Dvorak says by announcing his retirement now, it gives trustees time to put together a transition process which he says will set the district up for long term success.
Dr. Dvorak's plans for retirement have yet to be determined.
