Postal Service to Reduce Hours by 2014

By the end of next year, 80 post offices across Wyoming will have their hours reduced.
However, the Postal Service has yet to decided which post offices will see their hours cut.
Faced with declining revenues, the USPS was considering multiple cost-cutting measures last year including closing some post offices in rural areas across the country. According to USPS spokesman David Rupert, almost 40 post offices in Wyoming were set to be closed.
However, earlier this year the Postal Service backed off the plan and instead decided to cut hours at rural offices. Rupert says the shorter hours will save the USPS around $500 million a year.
The Postal Service is currently reviewing which offices will have their hours reduced.
