Bill Seeks to Change Education Leadership
by Cassandra Hager, firstname.lastname@example.org
Lawmakers have introduced a bill that would strip power away from the state superintendent of public instruction.
On Thursday, the Joint Education Committee brought forward a bill that would create a new director of the Wyoming Department of Education appointed by the governor. Under the law, the state superintendent would no longer head the agency.
The bill comes as lawmakers and education officials have battled over education reform in Wyoming.
