Legislature Considers Higher Fuel Taxes
by Jeff Schuman, schuman@k2tv.com
On Monday, the House Revenue Committee has given its approival to a bill that would raise Wyoming's fuel tax by 10 cents a gallon.
The 7-2 vote now sends the bill to the house floor.
It is estimated that the 10 cent increase would cost the average household around $100 per year.
However, as K2's Jeff Schuman reports, at least one state representative says there are other alternatives that should be considered to fund state and local road projects.
