You can expect an increased law enforcement presence this weekend, with St. Patrick's Day being being one of the most popular drinking holidays.

The Combined Accident Reduction Traffic Enforcement, or CARTE, is urging the public to help keep the streets safe by drinking responsibly.

There were 700 people reportedly killed nationwide in crashes involving a drunk driver during St. Patrick's Day from 2006 to 2011.

So you can be sure law enforcement will be in full force this weekend to make sure you celebrate safely.
