A Casper woman has been arrested for allegedly forging thousands of dollars worth of checks in her mother's name. Sarah Clouse is the adopted daughter of the victim and is accused of taking advantage of her mom who was in the hospital.
The affidavit states Sarah Clouse had access to her mother's bank account but did not have permission to use the funds for herself. Clouse allegedly forged dozens of checks amounting to nearly $3,500.
Clouse's mother was hospitalized for triple bypass surgery and later told police that she gave Clouse permission to pay her bills, but requested to see the checks before doing so.
