Beef Prices Skyrocket in 2013

Cattle numbers are nearing record lows across the United States and Wyoming is no exception as most areas here still remain in severe to extreme drought.

Ranchers were forced to sale off large portions of their cattle last year and because of the continued poor climatic conditions ranchers in the state may be looking to do the same again this summer.

Because of that drop in cattle numbers, the demand for beef has never been higher, which is why we've seen a spike in beef prices and will continue to in upcoming summer months.
