Arapaho Man Pleads Guilty to Stabbing Ex

The Arapaho man accused of stabbing a woman at the Poplar Common Cents in February changed his plea to guilty Wednesday.
34-year-old Steven Michael Monroe stabbed his ex-girlfriend in the neck multiple times.
His one charge of aggravated assault carries a ten year prison term, but Monroe qualifies as a habitual criminal so he faces up to 50 years behind bars.
He sentencing has not been scheduled.
