Raging Waters Force Major Highway Closures

by K2 News Staff, info@ktv.com

High water shuts down every major highway from Wyoming to the Colorado front range.

Due to the state of emergency, Colorado Department of Transportation has stopped all access from Wyoming into Colorado.

The stretch of roadway from Interstate 25 in Cheyenne down to Colorado 7 just south of Denver has been closed; that includes Highways 85 and 287 south.
On the contrary CDOT is allowing people to exit the state using Highway 85 and 287 North.

According to K2's Ryan Hillman who spoke with WYDOT, they said because the magnitude of the flash floods, allowing people into the state would only make matters worse.
