The Lander man who was convicted of killing his cousin, and kidnapping and sexually assaulting his cousin's fiancee, was sentenced today in Fremont county district court. 24 year old John Thomas Hereford was sentenced to 50 years to life for the second degree murder and kidnapping charges. He will also serve 45 to 50 years for the sexual assault....but, both sentences will run concurrently. On September 11th, 2012 Hereford shot and killed his 32-year old cousin Travis Armajo at his Lander residence. Shortly after killing Armajo, Hereford went to a nearby home and forced his cousin's fiancee to preform sex acts on him at gunpoint. Hereford will get credit for the more than a year in jail, that he has already served.
