The cold snap on the east coast, is good news for Wyoming natural gas producers. The price of the fossil fuel has been soaring recently. Natural gas powered furnaces are having to work harder to keep homes warm amid these below average temperatures. Some Wyoming natural gas has been used for heat across the nation, despite competition from areas, such as the marcelus shale, says Bruce Hinchey....the president of the petroleum association of Wyoming. Hinchey says, the so-called natural gas bubble is beginning to pop where prices for a BTU were half of what the are today, around two dollars. The deep freeze is expected to last until late next week.
