Dean Morgan Students Raise Money for Japan

Students at Dean Morgan Junior High raised over $1,100 last week to donate to the Japan Relief Fund.

Members of the National Junior Honors Society wanted to do something for those affected by recent natural disasters in Japan, so they decided to hold a competition between homerooms, bringing in coins and loose change and seeing who could raise the most.

Two of the students who came up with the idea were inspired by a magazine article they saw about the tragedy in Japan.

The school will donate the money to the Japan Relief Fund through the American Red Cross.
