CATC Proposes Bus Changes

CATC and the Bus are proposing an increase in their services.

CATC hopes to have the following proposals in effect by July 5th:
  • Expanding fixed route service on East 2nd Street out to Hat Six Road
  • Adding Saturday transit service running from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm
  • Discontinuing Sunday service on CATC effective July 2nd
  • Adding new stops to the Yellow, Green, and Red routes
  • Aligning service hours on CATC and the BUS with the fixed route service
Two public meetings were held earlier Wednesday, one at the Senior center and the other at City Hall, to discuss the proposals and receive public feedback. The department said it will take a look at people's suggestions and try to incorporate what it can.

CATC is encouraging comments and suggestions either via telephone (265-1313), or in person at the Metropolitan Planning Office.
