Irrigation Ban Continues

The City of Casper is reminding irrigation ban is still in effect.

One of Casper's main water pipes that was found ruptured yesterday is still broken.

The pipe draws from the North Platte River into the water treatment plant and supplies Casper with as much as 40% of its water.

With warmer weather and higher water demand, the city is asking the public to cease all outdoor irrigation including lawn-watering.

They say they hope the leak will be fixed by tomorrow.

But until further notice, the ban will be imposed until this Friday.
