Murder Conviction Likely to be Overturned
A new development may jeopardize a murder conviction in a Sublette County case.
Just last week the Wyoming Supreme Court upheld Troy Willoughby's conviction for the murder of 25-year-old Elizabeth Ehlers of Jackson in 1984.
He was found guilty last year.
Now Sublette County Attorney Neal Stelting says prosecutors withheld evidence from his trial.
Stelting says a report that police made contact with Willoughby the day the body was found was never shared with the defense.
Stelting says in a statement that withholding the police report likely will result in Willoughby's murder conviction being overturned.
