Gay Domestic Partners on the Rise in Wyoming


2010 census figures show that gay domestic partners are one of the fastest-growing demographic groups in Wyoming.

Of those couples, 28 percent are raising children, a high number compared to most states.

The census shows more than 1,100 same-sex households in Wyoming.

That number is about 300 more than the reported number from the 2000 census.

The new figures make this group one of Wyoming's fastest-growing minority groups over the past decade.
