NC Gets New Surface at Cheney Alumni Field

After being used for nearly nine years, the surface at Cheney Alumni Field is being replaced by a newer type of artificial surface.  The field, used by PE Classes, the Mustang Marching Band and the Natrona Football, Soccer and Track teams will feature a multi-color surface.  It also will use rubber pellets as infill, but also has a sand sub-base and newer threads that should last another eight -to- ten years.  The high school football practice season will start Monday and the field will be ready in time.
