K2 Sports Director Jack Nokes came to Casper in 1974 as part of the KTWO radio and television team. During the past 37 years, Jack has been an active part of the sports scene in Casper and Wyoming. He has broadcast University of Wyoming football and basketball games, on both television and radio. Also he's been the stadium announcer at War Memorial Stadium for the past 28 football seasons. In addition to the Wyoming connection, Jack has broadcast high school football and basketball, along with Casper College basketball and Wyoming Cavalry football on radio. His voice is instantly recognizable at the State Basketball tournaments, and at the State Football Championships as a long time public address announcer for WHSAA events in Casper and Laramie.

For some crazy reason he took up golf six years ago and can be seen (and often times heard!) hacking and slashing his way around Three Crowns Golf Course during the four non-windy months of the year. He also enjoys fly fishing and listening to sixties radio where you can actually sing along with the lyrics and not embarrass the grand kids or grandmother.

Jack is enjoying working with the K2 news and sports staff and learned to appreciate their patience in working with a technically challenged senior citizen.
