Weekend Sports Anchor
Patrick Quinn joined the K2 News Team in May 2012.
Patrick grew up in Nashville, Tennessee. He then followed his sports journalism passion to the University of Maryland (GoTerps!), where he graduated with a degree in broadcast journalism.
Patrick has been lucky to have had some great experience in the journalism field, which has furthered his passion in sports news. In local news, Patrick interned for WTVF, the CBS affiliate in Nashville and WRC, the NBC affiliate in Washington, D.C. In professional sports, he spent time with both the Washington Redskins and the Nashville Predators. In regional sports, Patrick interned with Comcast SportsNet and Scout.com. He also was a sports reporter and anchor for Terrapin Timeout, the sports newscast at UMD.
What Patrick enjoys most about his job is getting out into the community and talking with people. He also loves grabbing a camera and sniffing out a story.
Patrick is one of six kids and largely attributes his love for sports to his family. He ran varsity track and cross country in high school. Outside the newsroom, Patrick loves reading, exercising, watching sports, and hanging out with friends and family. He is also active in his church and the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program.
Alright that's his story. Feel free to email yours to Patrick.
