Weekend Anchor / Producer
Andrew is a three time Wyoming Association of Broadcasters award winner.
Since joining the K2 News Team in October 2011, he won first place in the "Breaking News" category in 2014 and 2013 for his coverage of the "Bank Robbery Turner High Speed Chase," and "Super 8 Standoff." He won 2nd place for "Best News Piece" in 2012 for his coverage of the University of Wyoming teaming up with Wyoming Game and Fish trying to fight Chronic Wasting Disease within the Mule Deer population.
Born and raised in the San Francisco, Bay Area, Andrew attended Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, graduating in 2011 with a BA in Communications. He went to OU in part to play baseball and in part to go to a different part of the country.
During his time at OU, he played baseball all four years at the NCAA level. He owns the career hit by pitch record at 34, playing mostly catcher and outfield.
He knew he wanted to get into broadcasting ever since he saw the movie "Good Morning Vietnam" and grew affection for Robin Williams' ability to connect with his listeners. He interned at KTVU in the Bay Area during the Summer of 2010 and WSB-TV in Atlanta during the Fall of 2010. He also was the voice of OU's men's soccer team all four years.
He feels broadcasting is a way to change people's lives for the better by keeping them informed on topical stories. His favorite part about broadcasting is getting to do something different everyday and meeting new people.
Andrew is an Eagle Scout, earning the award in 2007. When he's not reporting or anchoring, you can find him watching the Oakland A's and Raiders. He also enjoys swimming, skiing, and spending time with his friends and loving family.
