Drew Douglas joined the K2 News Team in August 2009 as a reporter.
Drew grew up in Federal Way, Washington about a half an hour outside of Seattle. He then moved to the valley of the sun to attend Arizona State University. At Arizona State University, he graduated Cum Laude in May 2009 with a Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Journalism from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communications and minored in Business. While in Tempe, he worked for the East Valley Tribune Newspaper, The Blaze 1260 AM, The AIA Broadcast Network and Cronkite Newswatch, an award winning student newscast at ASU. He has also done internships for Sports 620 KTAR and The Sun Devil Sports Network.
Drew initially got into broadcasting because of his love for sports, but has developed a strong passion for news along the way. It was during his time in college he developed a passion for finding stories people care about. While Drew enjoys covering hard news, he thinks its important to tell stories that show a positive side of community as well. He is excited to experience all Wyoming has to offer, especially outdoor sports like skiing because he couldn't do that while in Tempe. While moving from Tempe, where temperatures were often in triple digits, to Casper, where they can be sub zero may be a tough adjustment, Drew has stocked up on winter gear and feels he is ready.
When Drew is not out covering the news in Wyoming, you will find him spending time with family and friends or watching sports. He also enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, Ashley and their two cats, Louis and Phoenix. He is a die hard Sun Devil football and basketball fan and invites any ASU alum to put up a pitchfork if they see him out.
