Jadiann Thompson, the courts and crime reporter for K2 News in Casper since February 2009, is a native of Natural Dam, Arkansas. She graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism, where she was selected for membership in the scholarship and leadership organizations Phi Kappa Phi, Alpha Lambda Delta, Phi Theta Kappa and the National Dean’s List. In addition, she is an All-American Scholar. While working on her BA, Jadiann was picked in 2006 to serve as an intern in the office of Arkansas' Congressman John Boozman, which provided a unique opportunity to study the interface between the communications media and political affairs at the national Capitol in Washington, D.C. Desiring to further expand her knowledge of international affairs, which has become a staple and continuing interest in her personal and professional life, Jadiann accepted an offer to serve as an English teacher in Madrid, Spain during the 2008 school year.

In her senior year of college Jadiann interned at KFSM Channel 5 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She is an active member of the Society of Professional Journalists. When the position of courts and crime reporter for K2 News in Casper, Wyoming was offered to Jadiann, she welcomed the opportunity to work in this capacity in her chosen profession.

Jadiann loved living in the country and training her own horse, which she feels adds a valuable dimension to her understanding and appreciation of life. While growing up in her semi-rural surroundings Jadiann participated actively in community and civic affairs, a devotion which earned her the title of Miss Crawford County in 2004. She maintains her proficiency in Spanish and her political and media contacts in Washington, is a martial arts enthusiast and has been awarded a Black Belt in Goju Karate, is a semi-professional photographer and enjoys ballroom dancing.
